August 27, 2015 part 1: Beach Near Skopelos Foundation for the Arts

This batch of photos represents my third day's exploration of the Island of Skopelos, where I did a 2.5 week artist-in-residency at the ever-enchanting Skopelos Foundation for the Arts.
I was really there to do a video installation, so these photos were just my way of exploring and gaining a sense of place.
This small beach was a short hike from Skoparts. It was my favorite beach on the island due to the colors and because it was nestled in a cove. I did a lot of underwater video here.
I also shot a lot of video with my 250mm lens, lying on my belly at the waters edge and at the edge of a pier. I got a very satisfying effect of the waves barreling towards the viewer.
Don't try this without a protective filter on your lens, of course. Salt.
