July 2017: Timna, Mushroom Area
The Mushroom Area of Timna Park is named for a rock formation created by erosion.
This area has three archaeological hot spots, and fantastic acoustics from walking on ancient slag and round quartz stones.
The archaeological areas within fences are a copper smelting camp, a workshop, and a local shrine.
