On the way back from a micro-hike, the kind you take when the days are very short and you don't get out til 3 pm because weekends are also for life maintenance errands and cleaning, my friend Julie and I found an art installation in our neighborhood. Way high up on a ridge, someone --or someones-- poetically placed tasteless chachkies in tasteful ways on guard rail posts.

I don't know if it was created by one person or many, but the installation inspired me to make more art. I only wish I'd had more time to make really careful studies. But I got a few winners!
